BASICS
What Is This Game?
A free, fan-made tower-defense game based on Plants vs Zombies, built in Unity by Blue Fly (LanPiaoPiaoFly) and team. Its signature mechanic is plant fusion — stacking compatible plants onto one tile to create hybrids with combined abilities. How to play →
No. It’s an unofficial fan project, released via Bilibili since 2024, using PvZ characters without EA/PopCap endorsement — which is why it has no app-store listing. Safety guide →
Completely free — no ads, no in-app purchases in the standard builds. Any site charging money or demanding surveys for it is not legitimate. Download →
Yes — once installed, it’s fully offline. You only need internet to download the game and check for updates.
Two separate fan projects that both feature plant-combining — the similar names cause constant confusion. Fusion is Blue Fly’s game (this site); Hybrid is a different project. Never mix their files. Full comparison →
DOWNLOAD SAFETY
Getting It Safely
The game itself is a fan project, but safety depends on where you download it — fake mirror sites are the real risk. Use verified community sources, scan the file, back up saves. No source can honestly promise “100% safe.” Full safety guide →
The developer announces releases on Bilibili and the PVZ Fusion Fans Discord; community mirrors redistribute them. Always match platform, version, and language — and avoid sites with paywalls or surveys. Download page →
Download from a trusted mirror, allow “install unknown apps” for your browser, tap the file, then revoke the permission. Chinese build: Android 5.1+, 2 GB RAM. English build: Android 8+ on arm64. Install guide →
Signature conflict — you’re installing a build signed with a different key over your current one (typical when mixing Chinese and English builds). Back up your save, uninstall fully, install fresh. Troubleshooting →
Play Protect warns about any sideloaded app — expected for a fan-signed APK, not proof of malware. What matters is the source: verify file details and scan. Full permission requests from random APKs are a red flag. Safety guide →
VERSIONS LANGUAGE
Updates and English
v4.0.5, released October 1, 2026 (verified October 8 — no 4.0.6 exists yet). Note: version tracks differ by platform and language — the Chinese builds, English Android build, and PC patch are separate releases. Version tracker →
Install the new APK over the old one — never uninstall first (uninstalling deletes the save). Exception: switching between differently-signed builds (Chinese ↔ English) forces an uninstall — back up playerData.json first. Save guide →
The game ships in Simplified Chinese; English comes from community translators and trails releases. Newest verified: Android v4.0-release-2 and the PC 4.0.5.2 alpha patch. (One repo’s README claims an English Android 4.0.5.2 APK — we checked its releases page and it was never published.) English status →
No cloud save — your progress is one local file, playerData.json (Android/data/com.LanPiaoPiao.PlantsVsZombiesRH/files/). Copy it to the same path on the new phone after installing. Never restore a whole old data folder. Troubleshooting →
Your device region uses a decimal comma instead of a dot — the game misreads values like “7.5s” as “75s.” Switch your system region/language to Chinese or English and restart. More fixes →
GAMEPLAY PLATFORMS
Playing the Game
Plant a seed packet directly onto a compatible plant on the lawn — they merge (e.g. Peashooter + Sunflower = Sunshooter). Super/Ultimate fusions unlock through Fusion Challenge progression and Odyssey formulas. Recipe database →
Not confirmed. Some download sites claim PvP/co-op, others say single-player only — no trusted source (wiki, GitHub, Discord docs) documents online multiplayer. Treat any “multiplayer APK” as an unverified third-party variant. Modes guide →
A third-party APK variant with cheats (infinite sun, no cooldown) — not the developer’s release, from unrelated mod sites, carrying higher trust risk and often outdated game versions. We don’t recommend it. Why →
No — there is no native iOS build and none announced. Any “iOS download” or IPA page is unofficial and risky. The honest truth →
Windows has a native build (ZIP, extract and run). No verified native Mac or Linux package exists — community workarounds are unsupported experiments. PC guide →
